Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this unit with monitor and keyboard at Walmart on 02/04 2017.  PC shows that it was assembled by HP in 2015 and the original operating system was windows 7.  The monitor is only compatible with windows 7 and the new operating system is windows 10 when I purchased it.  the unit is slow, lockes up and the monitor had a fuzzy area through the center when showing photos and videos.  The whole thing was  a total waste of money.  I would like it corrected either reload windows 7 or send me a monitor that will work with windows 10.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

First of all, this is just a community forum staffed by volunteers, and we don't send anyone hardware.

Second, if the PC is not working properly and you want one with a different OS, the cheapest thing for you to do would be to return it for a refund and buy a different PC.  To install Win7 on this one will cost you money, as you would have to pay for HP Recovery Media -- a set of disks that will do a factory reset on your PC.

If you still want to install Win7 on it, then use the contact information below to reach HP Customer Support to order the HP Recovery Media.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Good Luck

I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
