How do you remove the right side cover? (the side where all the caliing runs)?

Can't find anything in the user or service manual!

Tnx

Chazz

See the videos in the

  Services Media Library
  http://h20464.www2.hp.com/index.html

1. Navigate in the [1. Product Category] panel to click on [Desktop & Workstations]

2. In the [2. Product family] click on [Personal Workstations]

3. In the [3. Product series] panel scroll down and select [HP Z820 Workstation]

4. Below panels 1, 2 & 3 find the link to the [Remove/Replace videos] and click on it

5. In the popup window, select [Right side panel] to watch the video. It should be the 2nd from the top.

I did exactly what's in the video but it is impossible to slide the cover? I'm 6 feet man, it should not be the problem, but it just won't go off.

Yes I did unscrew two screws...

Is it possible that the side cover is sealed somehow?

Thanks

@bearwantstolive, i don´t have the answer but do know that the side cover is hard to slide off. I once had an HP service technichian on site for a warranty repair and he failed to slide it off from a Z800. We both tried but we never managed to slide the side cover off the computer chassi.

HP later came and and fetched the computer and fixed it in their service center. It took a couple of days before i got the computer back.

Curious to hear any solution for your problem! 🙂
