I would like to install windows server 2012 r2 on z840 workstation - is it possible?

What about the drivers ?

 

I could find only the drivers for Desktop OS but not for server

it appears that Windows Servers 2012 is based upon Windows 8.

 

So, if you need device-drivers for your hardware, use the device-drivers available either on the Windows Server media, or those available for download via Windows Update.
