access old outlook 25-character product key

HP Recommended

I have an 8-year old Compaq Presario with Outlook/Office.  Have been opening/sending email attachments/pics for years, now Microsoft wants 25-character product key.  The one I have on file isn't working.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi,

Are you sure it's Microsoft asking for the key and not a virus or malware?

You're talking to a troglodyte.  No idea here.  Assuming it's legit, only because I've experienced it before, thought I had it fixed, and it's back again, but no way of knowing if it's something else.  How do I determine?  Thanks in advance.
