Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

there is space in the case of the HP OMEN 870-144nd to add an hard drive. but there are no sata or power cables left to connect the hard drive. does anyone know how i can add my hard drive?

@Axel-van-e, welcome to the forum.

 

You will have to use the existing cables with a "Y" adapter for the data and power.  You should make certain that you choose the correct adapter.  If you are not certain which is correct, you can contact StarTech's Tech Support using their Chat Live option.  They have always been extremely helpful for me.

You could also re-route that DVD drive to an  internal PCIE card.

Note: the 870 series use Fillister head screws for the hard drive.
