It's not clear what you are trying to do.

Have you acquired a blank SSD since you upgraded your computer from Windows 8 to Windows 10?

Are you wanting to use the Windows 8 installation media to install Windows 8 onto the SSD?

Your license to use Windows 8 is valid only for the original computer on which it was originally installed.

Upgrading that computer to Windows 10 does _NOT_ give you a license to install Windows 8 onto some other computer, since at any time, you could reinstall the original Windows 8 onto the original computer.

Is this what you are asking about?

Very weird.  Where is Windows 10 installed?

Click "File Explorer", and then "Computer".

You should get a listing of 'C:' disk-drive, and 'D:' CD/DVD optical drive, and what else ???

What is the capacity of the disk-drive?

What is the size of the 'C:' partition?
