I can't seem to get my bookmarks or favorites to "stick" in IE 9. How do I do that so look like IE7? The only way I'm finding them is through the history; really unacceptable. HP Pavilion and 2011 monitor, Win 7.

There are 2 ways to do this within IE9.
New style:
1) The "top right area" has a white Star. That is the button for view favorites, feeds and history.
2) When you open the button, you'll see a "Add to Favorites" with a down arrow. Press on the arrow.
Old Style:
1) Click on Tools, Toolbar, check mark Menu Bar.
2) Now you have the Old Style menu bar, with favorites as in IE7, IE8.

Just right click at the top of the IE panel, and select any "bar" you want.
WOW 2 for 1 and no KUDO.
