changing the graphic resolution on an HP2010I monitor

I would like to change the graphic resolution of my HP2010i monitor as I am loosing part of the screeen at the top, bottom and left and right of screen. the current optimum resolution is 1600 x 900 - 60hz, my laptop is set for 1366x768. Thanks

@LeithR, welcome to the forum.

It is best to operate the monitor at the native resolution of 1600 x 900.  This will give you the best picture quality.  However, you should be able to change the resolution in the On Screen Display (OSD).  Also, have you tried changing the resolution on the laptop to 1600 x 900 to see what happens?  You can do this in the Control Panel / Display.

thanks Old_geekster, i'll check out what I can do with my Linux operating system, as I said it is currently fixed at 1366 x 768.

I hope that you are able to get the resolution to work properly with my suggestions.

The "Honor Student" in your Profile is simply one of the designations that HP uses to denote the number of posts that you have made on the Forums.  As you will see, I have a designation of "Expert" and "Provost".
