Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

in printer que there is a document which says it is 'deleting' but it doesn't and i can'y 'clear' it in the usual way.  it is preventing me from printing anything.  I have tried shutting down both computer and printer and restarting. its still there. I have tried the red 'cancel' button on printer.  i am getting very frustrated!    I use an ACER computer.

The Windows Print Service might be stuck and need to be stopped / restarted.

Try / Consider:

Restart print services and clear the print folder

  • Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services > Stop Print Spooler Service
  • Delete files from C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
  • Start Print Spooler Service
