Several games and Windows Live Movie Maker do not start. Error messages are pointing at DirectX.
E.g.. 'World of Tanks': 'Application has failed to start because DirectX hardware acceleration is not available or is turned off.
When I start DxDiag I see that Direct3D acceleration is disabled (DirectDraw and AGP is enabled). There is no button to enable Direct3D acceleration. When I select 'execute 64-bit DxDiag' Direct3D acceleration is enabled.

Do you have a 64 bit version of your OS installed on the computer? At the bottom of the DXdiag window you whould have a run 64 bit DXDiag.
