emery2-ul8e PCI-E graphics card slot 1.0 or 2.0?

Was planning on putting in a different video card in an HP Pavilion m7560y desktop with MOBO names P5LP_LE or EMERY2-UL8E. I have a Nvidia 7500LE in there now. Tried a Saphhire Radeon HD5450, but monitor(HP f2105) will not come out of standby. Sapphire thinks that MOBO "doesn't support true 2.0". I can't find any documentation as to whether this MOBO is  1.0 or 2.0. Probably will return the Sapphire, but looking for something else. Not heavy on gaming, get BSOD with video driver errors. Uninstalled driver then let Os(Win7) rediscover it. Same problem.

Hi Bruce,

The information that I looked at indicated PCI-E version 1.1.

Re: emery2-ul8e PCI-E graphics card slot 1.0 or 2.0?

I found an EVGA 01G-P3-1302-LR GeForce 8400GS video card that shows on TigerDirect it will support PCI Express 2.0/1.1

I'll give that a try.

Re: emery2-ul8e PCI-E graphics card slot 1.0 or 2.0?

That helped tremendously. The other new video card(EVGA GeForce 8400GS) I ordered worked. So far the PC has not been crashing with the BSOD.
