Hi,

HP doesn't recommend downgrading a Windows 8 PC to Windows 7. Many times these newer models haven't gone through regression testing and certification for other operating systems.

Please post the HP Product number for your PC.  We will see what we can find once your post the product number.

How to Find the HP Model Number and the HP Product Number or let HP automatically find your PC model number and HP network attached printers.

Hi,

Review the information in this thread.

Important NOTE: Before installing Windows 7, boot into the BIOS by tapping the ESC key at boot time then F10 Computer Setup and go to the Security menu and select Secure Boot Information. Now Disable secure boot and Enable legacy mode and save the changes. If you don't do this then Windows 7 will probably not run.  The other possible issue is that if you have a discrete UEFI mode only video card and your PC will not boot up then you might try removing it and use on board video. If that doesn't work then you will need  a non-UEFI video card.
