Hello @superche86,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I have read your post on how you are having a hard time installing Windows 7 on your desktop computer, using a SSD, and I would be happy to assist you!

Did the SSD come installed on your computer when you first acquired it? If it came with a hard drive, was it 256GBs as well? Is the SSD connected securely to the power cable and SATA cable?

In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on HP PCs - Configuring the Boot Order in the System BIOS. This should help to change the primary boot disk to your SSD.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

Regards 🙂
