hello i keep getting a hp update called softwear uitily hpu i start to down load it in my computer it then starts to install then just stops saying failed to download when i go to closed down my computer a message comes up saying failed down load then my computer turns is self off can anyone help me thank you

As I understand the HP software utility update failed,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Do you use the HP utility for any task on your PC?

If the PC worked fine previously, did you attempt a system restore?

 

While you respond to that, please try these steps to confirm whether this is the correct directory on your system.

 

1. From the Windows 7 Start menu (lower left), in the Search box type:     %temp%

    - This step should open a window to the temp directory for the current user.

2. From this directory, double click on a folder named “HpUpdate”.

   - This should show all the files downloaded by HP Update.

 

Please try these steps and let me know if you’re able to see the HP Update files.
