every time computer switched on displays BIOS asks to press F10 to save and exit then takes long to boot.

Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that your computer is taking a long time to boot to the desktop and every time you power on the computer you need to press F10 to save and exit for the computer to boot. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to help. 

Do you have any external devices connected?

Would it be possible for you to share the screenshot of the message you get for BIOS when you power on your computer?

 

Recommend you boot the computer to BIOS by tapping F10 repeatedly during startup. 

Reset the BIOS to defaults and Save and Exit BIOS. 

To improve the performance of your computer, please refer to this HP Article for assistance.

Could not take screen shot,did not work.

monitor printer connected to HP desktop.

repeated pressing of F10 brings up desktop.

please inform how to save default BIOS
