parallel port prodesk400g1



I have been trying to get the on board parallel port to work


So far the I have tried connecting a parallel cable to the port on the board and connected a receipt printer.


port doesnt show up in windows or the bios.

have tried to update the bios


any ideas would be appreciated

Hi Dave,


As far as I am aware there are no parallel ports on the Pro Desk 400 G1, you may mean the serial port?


A parallel port is D shaped and approx 2 to 3 times the lenght of the VGA port, it is a female port (it has holes and not pins)

A serial port is also D shaped, it is about the same size as the VGA port and it is a male port (it has pins rather than holes)
