pavilions HI 21.5 inch ips

HP Recommended
pavillion 22xi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Several problems with pavillion 22xi 21.5 inch ips.

1.  Screen goes blank  for no reason. ( black screen no sound) Tried differnet video card port. ( 2 Monitors when this happens other montitor stays on)  To restart I have to unplug power connector. Sometimes this works but most of the time time not.

Many times when I try above, the OSD  comes up in a differnet langauge ( mainly German), with graphic box scrambled.

The power switch doesn't work.

Minor details.

OS win 10 64 bit'

Quad cor with 8 meg memory,

Video card is nvidio 9500with with current update.

I like the monitor  but can't depend on lt.

Please hlep

Hi @mgl14261,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand you are having an issue with the screen going blank. I’d be glad to help.

I will need few details about your graphics card, could you send me the list of ports available on the graphics card (VGA, DVI, HDMI).

There is only a limited number of things that can be done with monitors.

I am providing you with some steps you can try below:

Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try a different cable connecting your monitor to your computer

Let me know how it goes.
