You should be able to change your printing preferences to accomplish that. Open the Devices and Printers folder, right click the D110a icon, click Printing Preferences, click the Paper/Quality tab, click the Advanced button. In this window, highlight Print in Grayscale, then change the window to Black Ink Only.
