Hello,

I have the exact the same error after a password reset.

"

2215-EIT failure. VA boot record read failure.

Ensure drive with VA image is installed correctly.

"

The error is mentioned in the following guide:

http://www.manualowl.com/m/Compaq/dc7700/Manual/113022?page=13

It's a HP Compaq DC7800P

System BIOS 1.32

I have tried a number of BIOS settings, without success.

Maybe it has someting to do with MEBx.

http://www.manualowl.com/m/Hewlett-Packard/Dc7800/Manual/23615?page=5

CTRL + P at boot dit not make a change.

CMOS reset, dit not make a difference.

Thank you.

Hello NEEMISYS,

According to the user manual
http://goo.gl/Ua2OL

The error is listed
Post Error Message Suggested Action
2215-EIT Failure VA boot record read failure. Ensure drive with VA image is installed
correctly.

"Ensure drive with VA image is installed correctly"

This is from the Virtual Application. Starting on page 5 in the manual it discusses the VA application. Try the outlined steps and post back your results.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
