"Check Video Cable" during Power Save LP2475w

In Windows 7 Power Options I have the display turn off after 10 minutes. However when that happens, the screens goes black as if the cable was disconnected and I get the check video cable message for another minute and then it turns completely off. This did not happen with my previous Dell monitor. Dell was connected with DVI, this one with HDMI.

It's quite annoying; anyone know a fix?
