"Error handling messages" when trying to run newly installed updates

Bear with me, I'm a real noob. I installed 3 critical updates from HP Total Care Advisor yesterday, and I get the error handling message when I try to run any of them. It said they were all successfully installed, but whether I try to batch run or individually run them, I get the same message. Help?!

It's also now saying that HP Total Care Advisor can't determine PC health on the PC health and security front page, yet when I do a health check, it says everything's fine. Anyone?
