Try a different version of VMWare than you are using to see if it works.

I suggest supplying a memory dump from the error. The best way to isolate the issue would be to allow the dumpcheck to be analyzed.
There its a tutorial explaining what memory dums are and how to setup your PC to provide them at the following website.
