Hi,

Review the below information (it's the same for Intel and AMD motherboards).

Hi,

A lot of other items also have to be removed.

Before you begin: Remove the battery, service cover, wireless module, optical drive, hard disk drive, keyboard, top cover, and system board.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the RTC battery from its connector on the system board.
  2. Using a non-metallic flat-bladed tool, carefully release the RTC battery from the adhesive that secures it to the system board and remove the RTC battery.

Real Time Clock (RTC) battery replacement

Steps

  1. Connect the RTC battery cable into its connector on the system board.
  2. Place the RTC battery in position on the system board and gently press down to adhere the RTC battery into place.
