shader error

I tried to run a game on my computer and received the following Error: Shader model 2 video card not supported. The  game requires 3D Video, System Requirements: Windows XP, Vista, or 7, 512 MB RAM1 Ghz, DirectX 9 compliant  with Pixel Shader. My computer is. HP Pavilion a6238x. Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 2 32-bit.

I updated the graphis driver and the intel chipset. Not sure if i can update or need to purchase new video/graphis card. i did do all the updates on the intel website and on the hp wesite that were available for my computer and i still receive the error.....

You will need to upgrade to a more robust video graphics adapter.  Example: ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450

Please review: Installing or Replacing a Video Card
