ss3320f intermittently won't power on

My computer is about 6 years old and for the last 6 months has been intermittent to power on. When it does power on, it works fine; but intermittently, when I push the power button, nothing happens. I do get a solid green light on the power supply inside the back cover but nothing else. After 10+ cycles of disconnecting power and reconnecting, it does power up with no issues.I'm running Vista with SP2 and the only hardware that I've added is a new video card (PNY GeForce 210). Any ideas on what is causing my power-on problem? The only thing that I can think of is an intermittent power supply problem. Could it be that the video card is casuing the issue? Thanks for any suggestions.

Solved!

ss3320f intermittently won't power on

Hello again tizzy,

Thank you for the updated information. So I took a look at the Graphics card you posted and noticed it has a minimum 300watt power supply requirement. I then took a look at the HP Pavilion Slimline s3320f Desktop PC Product Specifications page and noticed that your computer came with a 160watt power supplly. When you installed the new Graphics card did you upgrade your power supply to 300-400watts? If not this could be your problem your power supply does not have the needed requirements to power your system properly.

If you have replaced the power supply to the appropriate one required then please re-post and I will continue to provide what assistance I can. Thank you for posting again on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
