Touchsmart 610

When attempting to use PC I get the message Explorer.exe Application error unable to start correctly (0xc0000022) click OK to close the application.  Clicking OK results in a continually flickering ring. I cannot access the Internet in safe mode, so cannot carry out a System Restore. ScanNow resulted in 'no integrity violations' please help. J3nny

Hi there @J3nny,

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I understand that your computer is coming up with an error code of 0xc0000022. I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Please see this thread from the Microsoft Forums: Activation error code 0xc0000022  - answers.microsoft.com. there is a post by "Roice" that has some good suggestions on what to do for that error. Give it a try.

If that does not help, then please post the full product number and operating system in use on your computer. See the following, if you need help with that information. HP Desktop PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number, Serial Number or Product Number?  HP PCs - How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer

Also list any other details that you can about what is happening or other errors or messages, that may have occurred when trying that Microsoft forum post.

Please let me know whether that worked for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

Dear Malygris1, thank you for your support, however the PC got to a stage where I couldn't even get into Safe Mode, so I took it to PC World for them to repair. regards: J3nny
