windows will not load (HP Pavilion Elite m9040n)

I have an HP Pavilion Elite m9040n with Windows Vista SP2 and I have not upgraded any hardware on my machine. This morning I tried to turn on my computer and it would not move past the HP splash logo, now I am also unable to use my keyboard, but my mouse is being recognized by the system (so I cannot try and get into my bios or try anything that way).

I am not sure if this is a motherboard issue or a Hard Drive issue the only thing I have done so far is make sure all wiring is secure. I am open to any and all suggestions in regards to this problem, and look forward to any answers.

Re: windows will not load (HP Pavilion Elite m9040n)

disconnect your keyboard and try to boot to Windows. You might have a stuck key or something going on inside the keyboard.
