Phone not receiving firmware updates

Can somebody point me out to instructions for a clean factory reset and how to get the firmware updates? The obvious System -> Software Updates pulls nothing.

Hi miguelmateo, 

Please go ahead and click on settings >>. under settings you have update and security, once you click on it you have a option to select Phone update and you can check for the updates for the phone. 

For resetting the unit completely You can select System under Settings >>> then select About and once you scroll to the end you have Reset your phone and you should be able to do a Factory reset.

Thank you for your answer.  As suggested I reset the phone the factory defaults and went through the installation process, without restoring from a previous backup.

I then went to software update and found Windows 10 Insider Preview 15043 (rs2_release) and installed it without any issues.  However, after that was done, when I go to About -> Device Information -> More Info ... still shows

Version: 1607

OS Build: 10.0.15043.0

Firmware revision number: 0001.0000.0006.0243 

Hardware revision number: 1.0.0 (R-DS)

The firmware does not update.  IS there any way to force for firmware upgrade?

Does anyone know how to "force" firmware updates to the Elite X3, since as you can see it is not receiving the firmwares via the normal methods?

Hello,

Unfortunately, customers on the Insider Preview builds do not get Firmware updates from HP.  You can try removing yourself from Insider Preview and checking for the Firmware updates.  After the phone updates, you can re-enter the Insider Program.
