HP 24fh
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP 24fh Monitor. When I select Gaming - FreeSync through the  menu I get a "AMD FreeSync ON" message on my monitor. However, when I can't enable AMD FreeSync in Radeon software. It shows as not "Not Supported".

I am using all the provided accessories by HP for the connections: HDMI cable that comes with the monitor, and USB type-C to HDMI 2.0 adapter included with the laptop.

I have also updated all drivers. When using the laptop display, AMD FreeSync works.

Please tell me what do I need to do to get this to work. Thank you.

Thank you @KrazyToad.

I did go through all those before but it still doesn't work. I believe there is no fix for now because Freesync only works if it's DP-DP connection or HDMI-HDMI connection (see https://community.amd.com/thread/229592).

My current laptop and monitor port selection needs the setup to be DP-HDMI connection.

Shame. I'll return the monitor.
