Omen Photon

Bought a brand new Omen Photon. Sealed. Everything works great until I tried to register the product on the HP website. I was able to register the product but it said the mouse is out of warranty. Contacted HP support but they were as clueless as me.

Like I stated in my first post, I already registered the product. I was able to register it but the warranty status showed the product was out of warranty. The mouse was manufactured in June 2020. The product has 1 year limited warranty. The warranty started on August 22, 2020 and oddly, ended on Oct 10, 2021, the exact date I entered during the warranty registration. That's more than a year warranty and it's a sign that something isn't right with HP's warranty system.

My question is why the warranty was started in August 2020 and not starting from the date of purchasing the product?

Please help me to rectify the problem. I've communicated with HP support twice and none of them were helpful. They were as clueless as me.
