HP OMEN Laptop 15-ek0006ns

Hello,

I order to display my laptops screen to an external monitor and get charged in the same time without using the power adapter. So sharing display using USB-C cable and charged via same cable.

I was thinking of buying the HP USB-C G5, though i'm not sure if it can deliver enough wattage to my laptop.

How much wattage do my laptop needs in order to get charged via us

Firstly they are not compatible. Secondary, the specs of your machine is

It requires  200 W Smart AC power adapter. The dock MAY charge your machine overnight but definitely won't have enough juice to  charge your machine when in use.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

Thank you for your answer, is there any solution from HP or other 3rd party  companies?

Here is the a link for input power  in page 56:

So i think it can charger under a minimum wattage if not working with full power of the laptop.

From the following HP docks, I can't see which one can charge an Omen 200W machine

For the G5

Some members say they can use a Dell dock but I can't confirm that and not willing to buy an expensive dock just for testing. I could borrow many "toys" from work  for testing before but now no source, I'm a retiree.

Thank you very much for your answers... I was thinking some dell models could work too since they deliver more than 100w, but i think they're overpriced, i'll wait for other solutions..
