HP Pavilion Gaming Headset 600
Linux

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a headset that can support surround sound (5.1 would be enough) on GNU/Linux (I'm using Ubuntu and Fedora). After looking a bit, I found the HP Pavilion Gaming 600 headset and I'd like to know if someone managed to get the virtual surround working on any GNU/Linux distribution.

I know its specifications state that only Windows is supported, but I have other HP Pavilion equipment (a keyboard, a mouse, a stereo headset) and they work just fine.

So if the answer is yes, I'm just going to ask for some configuration information and order the headset. Thanks in advance !

Well, I ordered the headset. Two channel stereo sound works fine, the mic works fine but despite all my attempts I couldn't find a way to enable the virtual surround sound.
