External Graphics Card

[ Edited ]
Product Name: HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I'm fairly new to this topic, so any advice/help would be appreciated. I have a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC with SN#:  [Personal Information Removed] and I want to get an external graphics card so I can game. I'm wondering if this laptop is compatible as well as what external graphics cards and PSUs I should look into.

Re: External Graphics Card

Hi! @afzastrow, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I understand that you need to know whether you can use external graphics card on your laptop.

Don't worry I'd like to help.

There is no output port on your laptop to where you can connect an external graphics card.

To connect the video card you need 8x or 16x PCI-e ports on your laptop.

Even though if you have an external PCI-e port it will cost you more to buy a graphics card than a new laptop.

My suggestion for you would be to upgrade your laptop with a new one with good graphics.

I'll watch you reply!

Have a great day ahead! Smiley Happy
