Product: 25x monitor

I've been using the HP 25x on my Xbox One X and if I set the response time to 5 (fastest) the image looks quite bad unless I run at 120hz.

I'm happy to run 120hz but whenever I set my Xbox to 120hz the monitor still tells me the preferred mode is 60hz and my Xbox will no longer allow me to turn on Variable refresh rate (Freesync)

Anyone using this monitor on Xbox and know how to get it working properly?
