HP 27XQ monitor repair

I was moving my monitor yesterday when the power cable got pulled tight, saw a blue flash from behind the monitor and heard the dreaded electrical pop. I've tried with a different cable but no joy. Shes dead. I was thinking it may just be the power regulator section of the board in there and a blown cap and I may be able to repair myself, but jesus if i can work out how to get this thing apart, I don't want to break it even more doing so. Any Advice?

@DigitalGambit I'm afraid we don't have any such options to repair a monitor, that said, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Using an eraser rub towards the dead pixel from all directions. The aim is to move more of the liquid crystals in the screen into the dead pixel. More often than not this fixes the issue instantly Tell Popeyes

@DigitalGambit As mentioned before, we do not take the monitor apart, there are no options to repair it, and the only thing HP recommends you do in this scenario is to Contact HP as advised before, and if the device is under warranty, we can have the monitor replaced.
