HP Gaming Mouse M270

I bought gaming mouse M270 last year from amazon and now it is not working, i want to claim the warranty for it but for that when i enter the Serial Number given at the back of the mouse correctly on the hp support portal, it shows serial number is invalid. So because of this i am not able to claim my warranty, i have read multiple community posts about the same problem but there is no solution as such, Please help me with this.
