HP OMEN accelerator Graphics Card

HP Recommended

So I’m really bad with external GPUs. I’m getting a Hp Omen and i was wondering if a Gigabyte GTX 1060 is the exact same as the nvidia GTX 1060

@Izaac

Yes and no, Gigabyte GTX 1060 is a modified (a bit) of the Gigabyte GTX 1060.

So if I were to put the Gigabyte GTX into the Omen accelerator, would it work? Or would I need a Nvidia GTX (from nvidia store)?

@Izaac

I would ONLY use the following fully tested and supported cards

   http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/omenaccelerator/overview.html

I would not spend money to buy from 3rd party vendors and I believe HP only tests cards from main vendors/manufacturers first.
