It looks like I have a similar problem with this mouse - after some time I cannot control the mouse cursor as it starts to "walk" around my desktop - no buttons clicking or wheel moving helps - I can gain back the control of that strange mouse behavior only by some vigorous actions like shaking and bumping the mouse...I really consider to switch back to Logitech products now if there'll be no remedy to this bug from HP.
