Pavilion gaming mouse 300

Hey guys my pavilion gaming mouse 300  (wired) keeps flashing red after I plugged it in. It allows me to click but I can’t move the cursor at all. I’ve already updated all of the drivers so I believe that’s not the issue. I checked the devices and for some reason my desktop recognizes the mouse as a keyboard. Is this the problem? Thanks for any suggestions!

Please check with alternate USB ports, or another computer to check if it works.

 

Also, let's try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-mouse/24458154/model/24458155

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this and replace the mouse.
