Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased the HP Reverb VR Headset Consumer Model.  It works fine for several minutes and then the screen starts locking up with a loud buzzing sound in the headphones.  I'm using seperate headphone and have removed the headphones from the unit.  I only play iRacing and DCS World.  I've checked power management on the USB ports and checked my Windows version (1909).  I have also tried wire tying all the cables to make sure they weren't trying to pull out. Upgraded from an Oculus Rift and removed all the software for it.  Any help is appreciated.

@DStamper

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

The headset driver must be installed the first time it is connected:

  1. Make sure both headset cables (USB and DP cables) are connected.

  2. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.

  3. Allow at least 2 minutes for the driver to update.

  4. Check the device manager; you should now see the headset listed under Mixed Reality devices.

    Figure 2. Headset driver installed, headset appears in Device Manager

    Headset driver installed and headset appears in Device Manager

  5. The headset should work properly now.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
