Omen X 25f

the monitor should be capable of displaying the Wii at its lowest resolution  (the Wii to hdmi adapter works fine on the TVs in the house).
You should be able to manually adjust the input resolution but that menu option is greyed out on the on screen display. - any ideas gratefully received!

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Let's update the Monitor drivers from here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/omen-x-25f-240hz-gaming-display/24085701/...

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

What Wii connection are you referring to?

Are you trying to change the resolution from the monitor OSD menu?

What is the exact issue you are facing?

Cheers!

hi

I have the Wii to hdmi adapter that works fine when using  to attach the Wii to my 4K tv

When you attach to the monitor you get an error stating that you need to adjust the resolution but that option on the monitor on screen menu is. Inoperable - the monitor should display 800x600 so stumped

Use the OSD menu to adjust the monitor screen image based on your preferences. You can access and make adjustments in the OSD menu using the OSD joystick on the monitor's rear panel. To access the OSD menu and make adjustments, do the following:

  • 1. If the monitor is not already on, press the power button to turn on the monitor.
  • 2. To access the OSD menu, press the center of the OSD joystick.
  • 3. Move the joystick up, down, left, or right to navigate menu choices. Press the center of the joystick to make a selection.
  • Select: Management Returns all OSD menu settings to the factory default settings

If the issue persists, follow the next steps.

Adjust the ambient lighting:

  • 1. Press the center of the OSD joystick to open the OSD.
  • 2. In the OSD, select Gaming, and then select Ambient Lighting.
  • 3. Select a setting: ● Off: Turns off the ambient lighting. ● Task Light: Emulates an adjustable white desk light for better reading or viewing. ● Fade: Slowly fades in and out from one color to another. ● Static Color: Sets ambient light colors to red, green, blue, yellow, purple, cyan, orange, or custom. ● Random Color: Randomly cycles ambient light color through the static colors. ● LED Brightness: Adjusts the ambient lighting brightness

If the issue persists, follow the next steps.
Turn on HP Enhance+:

  • 1. Press the center of the OSD joystick to open the OSD.
  • 2. Select HP Enhance+.
  • 3. Select either Low, Medium, or High

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
