Key Home on keyboard HP Omen sequencer

I have a keyboard HP Omen Sequencer. Instead key Home I have multimedia key. How can I change this multimedia key to key Home? I need key Home in this place!

Hi, could you please specify how to configure the Omen key in order to act like the "home" key? Or what is the way to have an "home" key on Omen Sequencer keyboard?

Welcome to HP community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips

I understand that you would like to use the Omen Key as Home.

You can configure the macro keys (P1-P6) on the OMEN computer to initiate a series of recorded key presses using a single keystroke.

I'd like to help.

Let's create a Macro for HOME using the HP OMEN Command Center

1. Select the key set to choose which key press or combination of key presses initiates the macro.

   1. Select the key set

   2. Select the key

3. Choose a key for the new macro, then click Create new.

   The Create Macro screen opens.

4. Name the macro ( Ex: Home ).

5. Select a delay option.

   • Recorded delay: The time between keypresses is recorded and applied when the macro is initiated.

   • Fixed delay: Assign a uniform delay between each keypress in the macro.

   • No delay: All keys in the macro are activated at the same time.

6. Click Record to begin programming the macro.

7. Press each key in the desired macro sequence ( The Regular Key combination to make use of the Home ).

8. Click Stop to finish the macro.

9. Edit any keypresses or delays that require change.

10. Click Save to finalize the macro.

Next, Determine which macro key will initiate a macro.

1. Select the key set to choose which key press or combination of key presses initiates the macro.

4. Click the menu next to the desired key.

5. Choose the desired macro from the list.

Hi @praveenbv thank you very much for your reply. I have to say that it is still not clear to me. It seems that following your procedure I can assign the "home" function to a "macro" key but I want the "home" key to do the "home" function.

In my opinion the hp omen sequencer is an extraordinary product, I like it very much but I have been using the "home" key for more than 30 years, I need it 🙂 

Is it possible or I can just use a macro key to have the home key?

There are no options windows to change keyboard keys functionality.

I will return the product and I'll look for other keyboards, really sad. Maybe HP could think to move the OMEN key to another key less utilized.
