Product: HP LP2475w monitor
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have an HP LP2475w monitor. The HDMI socket on the monitor seems faulty.  I know the HDMI lead from my X box is working but it has stopped displaying a picture. Which other type of lead can I use? HDMI convertor to DVI-I lead? Any suggestions most welcome.

It supports following cables in

 

       DVI-I to VGA cable, DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort

 

Your XBox has HDMI out therefore you can use

 

            HDMI-DVI or HDMI-DP (preferred).
