I had a storm that has damaged the HDMI port of my monitor. The displayport still works. It is not under warranty. Is there a way to repair this myself or send it in to HP for repair? I can't seem to find any info on what to do.

@blarg1 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the monitor HDMI port is damaged.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

I am only given the option of finding support on the forums or finding the closest service center. Is there something else I can do?

The closets service center for desktops (closest thing to monitor I guess) is 4 hours away. I'm not going to drive there for an uncertain fix or estimate. What else could I do?
