OMEN PHOTON
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

There's actually a series of problems with the Omen Photon mouse that I own.

1) The first thing that I noticed is its mouse wheel is sometimes scrolling randomly up or down (opposite to the users scrolling direction).

2) I tried to find a driver for Omen Photon but apparently HP's website only provides an unrelated driver which belongs to HP OMEN Mouse X9000. Here's the link that I'm referring to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-omen-mouse/7318055/model/29362629

3) Omen Gaming Hub detects my Omen Photon mouse however it's not possible to add this device to my HP account. HP's application doesn't detect the mouse and my product number isn't accepted either.

To be honest, if I can solve problem #1 that's mentioned above I don't care about the rest. I found the other 2 problems while searching for a solution to the 1st problem.

There's already a post about the wheel skipping problem but the given answers didn't work for me. It's not marked as 'solved' either.

Here's the other post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Accessories/Omen-Photon-Wireless-Mouse-Scroll-Wheel-Random-Up-D...

How should I proceed?

Thank you very much for your support in advance

Hi, @Anand_Andy,

Saldy I can't say that those pages helped me at all.

Most of the instrucitons in the first link that you shared are generally about making sure that my bluetooth is on, my bluetooth drivers are up to date etc. I read all the instructions carefully. I only didn't do the part which recommends restoring my PC to a previous point in time. That seems unrelated and a bit of an overkill for a problematic mouse wheel.

When it comes to the second link: the virtual assistant doesn't seem to have a command for my problem. And HP PC Hardware Diagnostics only tests wheter your mousewheel is working or not. In my case, the wheel is working but scrolling the page in random directions time to time.

I'm beginning to feel like the scrolling problem is a hardware issue. Also my other problems remain the same too.
Waiting for your kind recommendations
