OMEN 27i Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 2 Omen 27i monitors that have recently both had the ambient and bottom lights fail to turn back on no mater what I do.

I have tried:

-Updating the drivers

-Reinstalling Omen Hub

-Unplugging both monitors
-Factory Reset

-Plugging in to a different computer

-Turning the lights on via the monitor itself

Nothing has provided any results. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a firmware issue and is it possible to update?

Hi @Jolon

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing issues with your OMEN 27i Monitor. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

Also, I would suggest you please try to plug in your monitor to another wall socket without any surge protector. Once done, let me know the outcome of it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello, the isssue started about a week ago. No hardware or software changes were made. There was an Omen Gaming Hub update, but I don’t know know if that’s precisely when the lights stopped working. I did try plugging both monitors into different wall outlets and computers, but it didn’t seem to help.

I am also experiencing the same issue, although a little bit different.  One of my two monitors has no ambient light, while the other one is working as usual.

I have 2 omen 27i monitors set up as a dual monitor desktop system for gaming.  When I went into my windows 10 settings and checked in Apps, I noticed that gaming hub was updated the same day the issue presented.  When I compare the monitors in Gaming hub, the settings there are identical for ambient light settings.  I did notice that I had to click several times on the monitor number drop down box to get the problem monitor to respond.  I was able to get fps overlay and crosshairs to show up.  But any manipulation of the ambient light via OSD or Game Hub settings was a no-go.  Much like the OP, I have tried:

-Updating the drivers

-Reinstalling Omen Hub

-Unplugging both monitors
-Factory Reset

-Plugging in to a different computer

-Turning the lights on via the monitor itself

Anyhow any help would be nice.  Thank you

Bryan
