Omen 27i Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my 27i connected to 2 PC's - laptop on HDMI, and desktop on DP.

Every time I switch to the desktop or turn the desktop on and the monitor auto switches, the Monitor lighting comes on.  I can go into the Monitor OSD and set the ambient and bottom lighting to off, and next time the desktop is powered up the lights will come on again.

At first I had "generic" monitor for the driver on the desktop.   I got the HP driver for the monitor but that did not help.  Every day I now have to use the menu to turn the lights off.

Any know solution for this issue?

@mturley Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the Omen 27i lighting won't maintain settings.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Have you tried with different cables?

OK, all up to date.  In the process, I discovered Omen Command Center.  I have set the lighting off in there and will see what happens in the next few days.

Thanks.
