OMEN by HP Keyboard with SteelSeries, PN X7Z97AA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 3-month-old OMEN keyboard double types the letter pp (<- it happpened there, and I'll leave every instance in this ppost). I noticed it shortly after I started using the keyboard. At first, I thought it was my typping, but now I'm sure it's not. It's doesn't happen every time, but a lot. I have tried deleting the drivers in Device manager, reinstalling the drivers, updating the drivers, changing the keyboard polling rate in the SteelSeries software, changing the repeat rate in Windows keyboard pproperties, and running the HP Hardware diagnostics tool. The hardware diagnistics tool keyboard test confirmed that the letter p is double-typing about every 3rd time (interestingly, one time the "\" double typed, too). Is there anything else i can try? Or should I assume the keyboard is defective?

Either something was spilled and is causing the key to stick, or its a defective keyboard.

If I were you, I would contact HP Support and make a warranty claim.

It would mean the laptop would have to be sent in for repairs.
