Omen X9000 scroll wheel issue

Omen X9000 Mouse
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Omen X9000 mouse that I bought last February. The rubber on the scroll wheel has come loose and now just spins. It will not engage the wheel itself unless it is pressed hard which usually ends up being a 'click'. With this mouse barely a year old, I tried to get some warranty help but the site says my warranty is expired.

 

What are my options? I bought a whole Omen line including laptop, but it seems that the support is missing. My last mouse was a microsoft optical mouse that lasted 16 years and still works, I expected more from this mouse. It fits my hand perfectly but I do not want to have to buy a new mouse already, and if HP is not willing to help I will be moving away from the brand.

 

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
