Reverb G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a Reverb G2 headset and since it arrived i struggle with this issue. The right headphone will not play no matter what.

1. First I sent is back to warranty service, they said they replaced the headphones, but after picking it up the right one still doesn't work.

2. I was reading through various technical forums where they talked about compatibility issues with AMD CPUs and motherboards and since i have one (AMD Ryzen 3700X inside ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS) i did what people suggested and bought PCI card with USB ports and externally powered USB hub, but neither of those helped.

I also heard switching all PCI lanes from 4.0 to 3.0 helps, but it didn't.

3. I called my local support and requested the revision 2 cable, but it didn't help too.

4. I tried to connect the headset to another computer with CPU from Intel, but it doesn't work there either.

5. I called the support again and they told me that i should wait for a driver update or return the product.

So i searched the HP support website for drivers and found this https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-reverb-g2-virtual-reality-headset/33835976 where it says the last update in April 2021 was supposed to fix some audio issues.

What is going on here? Is there another update planned and in progress or was this one from April supposed to fix those issues? Will this headset ever work on AMD X570 chipsets?

Alright. The headset was faulty, they had to send me a new one, and that one works.
